@MissBates I keep meaning to ask you -- we need to buy our Montreal tickets. Do you know of any reason we should arrive earlier than 7/20 or stay later than 7/26?

@willaful Hmm, not that I know of, depends on what you guys like to do. Here's a listening of July events:

I'm a bit of hermit, so I don't do well in crowds. But if the weather is nice, Montreal is lovely, it's a strolling city.

@MissBates The hotel is quite close to Mount Royal park, which sounds awesome.

@willaful OH, noice!! It's where Taylor & Burton stayed for one of their sundry honeymoons, I think. AND, where Yoko & Lennon held their love-in, or peace-in. Also, they do a lovely high tea.

@MissBates oh we *love* high tea! if we wind up in the overflow hotel, we'll have to go for that at least.

@willaful @MissBates
*Afternoon tea.

High tea is not the kind of thing served at posh hotels. I know I'm fighting a losing battle on this one but it drives me crazy. High tea is a poached egg on toast or maybe ham and chips as a light dinner. It's not fancy sandwiches and cakes. That's afternoon tea.

@willaful There's an even better place, a Scottish place called Gryphon d'or near a metro and it's so good!!! Also, they DO call it "Afternoon Tea". Anglos neighbourhood ... gryphondor.com/gryphondor-tear
